Pine & Brazilian walnut table
The lighter-colored base of this table is made from pine, a softwood commonly found in the southern United States. Pine is popular for its smooth, open grain pattern, easy workability, and versatility.
The darker top of the table is made of ipe (sometimes called Brazilian walnut). Ipe is one of the hardest woods in the world and, in addition to having a stunning natural color, is incredibly durable. This particular ipe (pronounced e-pay) is made from reclaimed flooring that has been given a new life.
This table also contains adjustable feet on the bottom of each leg. If there are any slight imperfections or unevenness in the floor, these feet can be adjusted to bring the table into perfect balance.
